No to the racist EDL: unity in Dudley!

The English Defence League – an organisation of racist thugs with links to fascist organisations – is planning to return to Dudley on Saturday 17 July, in a renewed bid to stir up anti-Muslim racism and violence.

Unity in the community – celebrate our diversity!

We will be protesting against the racists on Saturday, and calling instead for unity in the community. We are urging our supporters across the Midlands to join us in Dudley, to celebrate our diversity and show our opposition to the racists.

Please plan transport and tell your friends and workmates that we will be assembling in Dudley from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday 17 July. We will have details of our assembly point shortly – please keep checking the website.

Coming from Birmingham?

Transport to the UAF protest will leave Carrs Lane, opposite Moor Street station, Birmingham at 12 noon. Phone 07910 767 043 for details.

Don’t let the racists divide our community

The EDL has targeted Muslims and mosques, whipping up hatred, division and violence where it has been allowed to march. Their violence and racism were exposed in this video, made when the EDL visited the town in April.

EDL supporters stabbed a man in the evening after the EDL demonstration in Bolton in March. They ran riot in Stoke-on-Trent earlier this year, attacking the local Asian community and police. EDL supporters have paraded their violence on YouTube and have been caught on camera giving Nazi salutes during their rallies and marches.

Last week, an EDL supporter received a suspended jail sentence for religiously aggravated harassment after leaving a pig’s head on the wall of Dudley Central Mosque.
