‘We are Bradford’ event: latest news and updates

UAF supporters from Bradford and around the country are getting ready for Saturday’s We are Bradford event, to oppose the racism and violence of the English Defence League.

‘We are Bradford’ is a peaceful event that will celebrate our multicultural society and allow us show our opposition to the racism and violence of the EDL – an organisation of racist thugs with links to the British National Party and other fascist groups.

Updates

We will have updates throughout the day on our Twitter page. We are also asking Twitter users who are at the We are Bradford event to post their tweets tagged with #UAF and #WeAreBradford to help our supporters find them.

Meanwhile, a new video from the Guardian gives a flavour of what the EDL’s protest means for people who live in the city and shows local activists organising for the We are Bradford event.

Music at the event

There will be music and speakers at the event, with artists from our sister campaign Love Music Hate Racism. For more details, see their website.
