Cambridge: public meeting on history of antifascism in Britain

Cambridge Unite Against Fascism and Love Music Hate Racism are holding a public meeting on the history of antifascist struggle in Britain, on Monday 21 November.

Antifascists have a proud history in this country, from defeating Mosley’s Blackshirts in the 1930s and smashing the National Front in the 1970s to the brilliant demonstrations in Cambridge and Tower Hamlets that humiliated the English Defence League this summer.

UAF officer and LMHR coordinator Martin Smith will speak about this history, and discuss the lessons organisations such as the Anti Nazi League and Rock Against Racism have for the movement today.

Monday 21st November, 7.30pm
The Graduate Union, Mill Lane Site, Cambridge CB2 1RX
All antiracists welcome!

For more information, see the Cambridge UAF website email Cambridge UAF or phone 07870 368 708.
