The We Are Waltham Forest campaign has called a public meeting to prepare to keep the racists and fascists of the English Defence League off the streets of Walthamstow for the second time.
Thousands of local people turned out to block the EDL’s route and stop their attempted rally in multicultural Walthamstow on 1 September in a fantastic show of unity and strength.
But in a desperate gamble, the EDL have declared they will try to come to the east London borough again on 27 October. We Are Waltham Forest campaigners are determined to ensure the fascists are sent packing again.
The public meeting on 9 October is aimed at building another huge turnout of local people against the EDL.
Defend our multicultural community – keep Walthamstow fascist-free!
7.30pm, Tuesday 9 October
Venue: Harmony Hall, 10 Truro Road, off the High Street, E17 7BY
